Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant stressed the importance of not taking Bangladesh lightly in the upcoming two-Test series, highlighting the need for India to keep improving to maintain their competitive edge. Bangladesh, who recently defeated Pakistan 2-0 in Rawalpindi, will commence the series against Rohit Sharma's side in Chennai on September 19, followed by a match in Kanpur.

India has a busy schedule with 10 Tests lined up over the next five months. The series will be followed by three Tests against New Zealand at home in October-November, before heading to Australia for the five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Pant emphasized that Asian teams like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka excel in familiar conditions and that the Indian team focuses on enhancing their own standards.

Pant highlighted the narrow margins in international cricket and the importance of domestic tournaments like the Duleep Trophy for quality practice. He noted that playing alongside international stars benefits young cricketers and provides valuable experience. Recovering from an accident, Pant is eager to participate in domestic cricket, reflecting on his journey and achievements, including winning the World Cup.
