India hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh reflected on the team's narrow loss to Germany in the Paris Olympics semifinal, attributing it to bad luck despite creating numerous chances. However, he celebrated the team's consecutive bronze medal as a significant achievement, echoing their 2021 Tokyo Games performance.

India secured the bronze medal after a closely contested 2-3 defeat to reigning world champions Germany, followed by a victory against Spain. Harmanpreet emphasized the importance of this achievement and expressed his team's determination to win gold in the future.

The Odisha government hosted a grand felicitation ceremony for the team, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announcing cash prizes. Harmanpreet thanked Odisha for its outstanding support and facilities, which have turned the state into a hub for hockey events.
