Star India all-rounder Deepti Sharma remains undeterred by the sudden venue shift for the Women's T20 World Cup, now moved from Bangladesh to the UAE. Sharma, speaking on the sidelines of the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards, emphasized her focus on contributing to her team's success regardless of the location.

'It doesn't matter wherever the World Cup is happening, I just focus on how as an all-rounder I can contribute to the team's success,' Sharma stated. With the tournament set for October 3 to 20 in Dubai and Sharjah, she remains optimistic given her recent form and understanding of the UAE wickets.

Sharma, who played pivotal roles both with bat and ball recently, notably finished off The Hundred 2024 with a winning six for London Spirit Women. Reflecting on her accolades, she mentioned, 'That moment (hitting the winning runs in The Hundred final at Lord's) was amazing. It is always great that you win the game for your team.'
