Paul Taylor, a former England cricketer and the international sales director for SIS Pitches, has highlighted the benefits of hybrid pitches and their potential impact in India. Speaking on the matter, Taylor mentioned that SIS Grass, an independently researched and approved hybrid grass technology by SIS Pitches, has been successfully implementing hybrid cricket pitches worldwide since 2017, with a notable 750 installations at over 130 venues globally.

The former all-rounder underscored that hybrid pitches can offer up to three times more play on the same surface compared to traditional pitches. Taylor stressed the importance of adopting this technology in India, which could significantly enhance their performance in international matches played overseas. "Hybrid pitches are crucial for modern cricket, as they provide increased durability and playtime. It's a technology we aim to introduce in India to improve local cricket infrastructure and better prepare players for overseas conditions," Taylor told ANI.

Born on August 8, 1964, in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, Taylor has had a distinguished cricketing career. Representing England at the international level, he also played for Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Staffordshire, and Norfolk in domestic cricket. He now focuses on advancing cricket infrastructure through innovative technologies like hybrid pitches.
