After returning from the recently concluded Paris Olympics, ace Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen shared his experience at a press meeting on Sunday. Sen, who narrowly missed out on a bronze medal, made history by becoming the first Indian shuttler to reach the semi-finals in the men's singles event at the Olympics.

The World No. 22 acknowledged the motivation he received from Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who hosted him for breakfast. 'I received immense support from everyone, and the Chief Minister's encouragement means a lot to me,' Sen told ANI.

India ended its campaign at the Paris Olympics with six medals—five bronze and one silver. Manu Bhaker secured India's first medal in the women's individual 10m Air pistol event. Subsequently, Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh won bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, marking India's first-ever shooting team medal.

Bhaker narrowly missed out on a historic treble, finishing fourth in the women's 25m pistol shooting event. She became the first Indian to win two medals in a single Olympic edition post-independence. Bhaker joins elite Olympians like PV Sindhu and Sushil Kumar, who have multiple individual medals.

Neeraj Chopra secured silver in the men's javelin throw with a best distance of 89.45 meters, falling short of retaining his gold medal. Led by Harmanpreet Singh, the Indian men's hockey team won back-to-back bronze medals after a 2-1 victory over Spain. Aman Sehrawat also bagged bronze in wrestling, marking India's first wrestling medal at these Games.
