Sri Lanka's Niroshan Dickwella Suspended Indefinitely for Alleged Doping Violation
Sri Lanka Cricket has suspended wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella indefinitely following a failed doping test during the Lanka Premier League. This indefinite suspension follows previous disciplinary actions for breaching COVID-19 protocols in 2021. Dickwella, currently captain of the Galle Marvels, last played for the national team in March 2022.
Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella has been suspended indefinitely due to an alleged doping violation, the national governing body Sri Lanka Cricket announced.
Dickwella failed a doping test conducted by the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency under World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines during the Lanka Premier League.
The suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice. Dickwella, who captains the Galle Marvels, last played for the national team in March 2022 against New Zealand.
