India Sets Ambitious Paralympic Medal Target Amidst Pramod Bhagat Suspension
Despite the shadow of Pramod Bhagat's suspension, the Paralympic Committee of India's president, Devendra Jhajharia, remains optimistic about securing at least 25 medals at the upcoming Paris Paralympics. India will have an 84-member contingent competing in 12 disciplines. Jhajharia has high expectations from the athletics team among others.

Despite the shadow of Pramod Bhagat's suspension, the Paralympic Committee of India remains optimistic. President Devendra Jhajharia expressed hope of bagging at least 25 medals at the upcoming Paris Paralympics.
The Indian contingent comprises 84 members set to compete across 12 disciplines, up from the previous 56 participants at the Tokyo Paralympics.
'Our target is from the current contingent. Pramod Bhagat, despite being a star, is not included,' Jhajharia noted. Ranked 24th in the Tokyo medal table, India aims to break into the top 20 with a robust performance this time.
