In a high-stakes encounter, Pakistan Women's skipper Nida Dar won the toss and chose to bat first against India Women in the second match of the Women's Asia Cup 2024, held at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday. 'The wicket looks dry, and we have trained well in Karachi. This contest is a great opportunity ahead of the T20 World Cup,' Dar remarked after the toss.

India Women's captain Harmanpreet Kaur emphasized the importance of every game in the tournament. 'The playing conditions will remain consistent for the entire 40 overs. We aim to establish our rhythm right from the first game,' Kaur stated. The team has made three changes from their last T20I against South Africa.

Pakistan Women's Playing XI includes Sidra Ameen, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali (wk), Nida Dar (c), Aliya Riaz, Iram Javed, Fatima Sana, Tuba Hassan, Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, and Syeda Aroob Shah. Meanwhile, the India Women's Playing XI features Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Dayalan Hemalatha, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Richa Ghosh (wk), Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, and Renuka Thakur Singh.
