Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is optimistic that India can claim their maiden global title in the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The event, originally scheduled in Bangladesh, has been shifted to the UAE due to political unrest in the former nation. Harmanpreet believes the UAE conditions will play to India's advantage.
Appointed as the captain on Tuesday, the 35-year-old is not concerned about the venue shift, noting the similarities between the UAE and Indian conditions. 'We have not played much cricket in the UAE, but the conditions there will be quite similar to those in India. We will adjust as soon as possible,' she stated.
Harmanpreet emphasized a positive mindset and learning from past defeats for a successful World Cup campaign. She backed the Indian bowlers to deliver and stressed the importance of staying present in each match.
