PV Sindhu stands on the cusp of history as she aims to clinch a gold medal in Badminton at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Already a two-time Olympic medalist with a silver at Rio 2016 and a bronze at Tokyo 2020, Sindhu is poised to become the first Indian athlete to win three individual Olympic medals.

Speaking about her focus on Paris 2024, Sindhu revealed her relentless drive for gold and reflected on past experiences that fuel her ambition. 'The thought of a third medal at Paris definitely motivates me. I am giving my 200% to secure that gold. My journeys in 2016 and 2020 were extraordinary, filled with immense effort and unforgettable moments.' Sindhu told JioCinema's show 'The Dreamers'.

Ranked among the world's top players, Sindhu draws from past experiences for her Paris quest. 'The previous Olympic outings have offered invaluable lessons, but overconfidence is not an option. Winning three consecutive medals is a monumental task, but my mindset is fixated on gold,' she added. Understanding her fierce competitors, Sindhu acknowledged the peak performance of athletes like AN Se Young, Akane Yamaguchi, Carolina Marin, and Tai Tzu Ying.

Sindhu also discussed her preparations with Indian Badminton legend Prakash Padukone, who mentors her for Paris 2024, alongside new coach Agus Dwi Santoso. 'We have a dedicated team aiming for perfection. Having Prakash sir as my mentor is a significant advantage, and I hope his support will help me secure that medal,' she said.
