The Agra Traffic Police is rolling out a new initiative, 'Tourist Path,' on October 2, aimed at guiding visitors to the Taj Mahal via less congested routes. The route map is designed to ease tourist movement significantly.

Bar codes and signboards depicting images of the Taj Mahal will be installed strategically to help tourists navigate through the city, sidestepping busy roads and traffic snarls. These codes, placed at key locations on Agra's outskirts, will guide visitors arriving from cities like Delhi, Lucknow, and Jaipur, steering them away from crowded routes.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Traffic and Taj Suraksha, Syed Areeb Ahmad, noted that the 'Tourist Path' will help visitors save time by avoiding congested roads typically suggested by navigation devices. The codes and signboards will be set up at toll plazas, flyovers, and other prominent spots, with 70 identified locations for installation.
