The Congress unveiled its manifesto for the Jharkhand assembly elections on Tuesday, detailing a series of promises aimed at wooing voters. Leading the charge, Bandhu Tirkey outlined proposals such as providing 250 units of free electricity and implementing a caste-based census.
Notably, the manifesto intends to fill all vacant government positions within a year and set up super-specialty hospitals in every district. Additionally, Congress plans to revoke the BJP's Land Bank Policy and enforce tribal land laws.
Amidst this political maneuvering, the BJP has filed a complaint with the Election Commission, asserting that the Congress and JMM violated the model code of conduct by releasing their manifestos during the election's silent period.
