In a significant move, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, engaged with more than 300 business owners and professionals in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, pledging to prioritize economic development and job creation in the Union Territory.

Addressing the 'Dogri Dham with RG' event hosted by the All India Professionals' Congress (AIPC), Gandhi vowed that a Congress-led government in J&K would focus on boosting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to create employment opportunities.

During the event, which saw enthusiastic participation, Gandhi outlined key policy proposals such as improved access to capital for MSMEs, export incentives, and reduction of tax burdens. He criticised the BJP-led central government and Lieutenant Governor's administration for their failure to support the local economy, sharing poignant stories of aspiring entrepreneurs disheartened by the lack of support.

Gandhi emphasized the critical role of MSMEs in the economy, declaring them as the backbone providing employment and a future for the youth. He warned that without government intervention, the region's youth would continue to face unemployment struggles.
