The Border Security Force (BSF) has implemented stringent counter-infiltration measures along the borders to thwart any terrorist attempts to disrupt the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This was stated by Inspector General of BSF, Jammu frontier, D K Boora, during a press briefing in Bhaderwah area of Doda district.

Boora emphasized the collaborative efforts of the BSF with other security agencies, including the police, to maintain stringent border security. He assured the public that no infiltration attempts would be allowed to hinder the electoral process, scheduled to begin on September 18 across seven districts.

The Inspector General also highlighted the operational readiness and adaptability of BSF troops, particularly in challenging terrains like Chenab valley, where they are deployed to ensure the safe conduct of the elections. Recent terror incidents in Doda and Kishtwar have been noted, and the security forces are conducting tactical operations to prevent any untoward incidents during the elections.
