In a series of successful anti-infiltration operations, the Indian Army neutralized a number of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera, Machhal, and Tangdhar regions. The operations, based on inputs from intelligence agencies, led to the recovery of significant warlike stores, including AK-47 rifles and a pistol.

The operation in the Nowshera region, known as 'Operation Kanchi,' was conducted by the White Knight Corps on the night between September 8 and September 9. Utilizing credible information from intelligence agencies and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army engaged and neutralized two terrorists.

Simultaneously, on August 29, similar operations saw the Indian Army eliminate three terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Machhal and Tangdhar sectors. These actions underscore the Indian Army's ongoing commitment to securing the region against cross-border infiltration attempts.
