In her inaugural address after taking the oath, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi lambasted the BJP on Saturday for allegedly orchestrating a conspiracy against her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal. She called upon the citizens of the capital to ensure that the AAP national convenor reclaims the top post after the Assembly elections scheduled for early next year.
Addressing a press conference, Atishi described the day as 'emotional,' lamenting Kejriwal's exit from the chief ministerial role. She praised his efforts in providing free healthcare, improving government schools, and introducing free bus rides for women. She accused the BJP of falsely implicating him to undermine his leadership.
With Assembly polls on the horizon, Atishi urged the populace to back Kejriwal for the continuation of free essential services like electricity and water. She assured that they would thwart any future conspiracies by the BJP, commending Kejriwal for his moral integrity by stepping down despite being granted bail in the excise policy case by the Supreme Court.
