A joint meeting of the Political Affairs Committee and the Advisory Committee of the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) was held in Sirsa on Monday to finalize the party manifesto and discuss candidate nominations for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls.

According to a party statement, senior JJP leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, deliberated on key aspects of the party manifesto. The meeting also addressed the names of potential candidates for the elections. Various points of the manifesto, including a proposed loan waiver for farmers, were discussed in detail.

The JJP recently formed an alliance with Chandra Shekhar Azad-led Azad Samaj Party for the Haryana Assembly polls, with the JJP contesting 70 seats and the Azad Samaj Party 20 seats. The manifesto includes promises like Rs 25,000 per acre compensation for crop damage, the 'Jannayak Fasal Suraksha Yojana', and 50% reserved seats for women in educational recruitment. Dushyant Chautala is set to file his nomination papers from the Uchana Assembly constituency on September 5.
