In a striking accusation, Senior AAP leader and Malviya Nagar MLA, Somnath Bharti, on Sunday alleged the BJP's involvement in derailing the Kejriwal government's 'Clean Delhi' project. Bharti claimed that illegal dumping of garbage is being used as a tactic to defame the AAP-led Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The BJP has yet to respond to these serious allegations. Speaking at a press conference, Bharti stated that opposition parties, including the BJP, have repeatedly tried to hinder the AAP's efforts in governing the MCD. He suggested that these actions are part of a larger conspiracy to frustrate the party's clean-up initiatives led by Arvind Kejriwal.
Bharti recounted an incident involving the illegal unloading of debris near Aurobindo College, just 50 meters away from Malviya Nagar Police Station. He reported that when a MCD official tried to stop the activity, they were threatened by armed individuals. Bharti called for immediate action from the BJP-led central government and Delhi Police.
