Shiv Sena MP Milind Deora criticized Aaditya Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), for allegations that the BJP-led government exerted undue pressure on Maharashtra's Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik to retire early. Deora accused Thackeray of playing a dangerous and immature game by politicizing the state's bureaucracy.
Deora stated that Thackeray's accusations were not only reckless but also reminiscent of his previous actions. He highlighted Thackeray's public criticisms of Ashwini Bhide, former head of Mumbai Metro, alleging that Thackeray's public trolling led to Bhide's unjust removal and significant project overruns and delays.
Praising Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's leadership, Deora emphasized the progress made in appointing women to key administrative roles. Deora urged for the celebration, not politicization, of the achievements of women bureaucrats in Maharashtra.
