Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday warmly welcomed former Jharkhand chief minister Champai Soren to the BJP at a party function in Ranchi, declaring, ''Tiger Zinda Hai.'' Soren, a key figure in the Jharkhand movement, recently resigned from JMM, citing dissatisfaction and humiliation.

Chouhan lauded Soren's crucial role in the creation of Jharkhand, recalling his strong leadership and tough decisions against corruption. He criticized the JMM for treating Soren poorly despite his significant contributions to the party and state.

Chouhan criticized the Hemant Soren-led JMM-Congress government for failing to meet its promises, including job creation and unemployment allowances. He pledged that a BJP government would prioritize Jharkhand's development and uphold the dignity of its people.
