The BJP on Thursday issued a challenge to the NC, PDP, and Congress for an open debate concerning terrorism, violence, and public security in Jammu and Kashmir, while criticising their governance during the 1990s unrest.
Emphasising zero tolerance for terrorism and civilian casualties, BJP J-K In-charge Tarun Chug said, ''I challenge the Gandhi-Nehru, Abdullah, and Mufti families to a debate on the state of terrorism, security, and civilian safety during their tenure and ours, and on Article 370 and 35 A.''
Chug asserted that significant drops in terrorism and law and order issues have occurred since August 5, 2019, when Article 370 was revoked. He also called out the opposition parties for their alleged role in encouraging violence and unrest.
