Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek Saab announced on Wednesday that he will issue a third summons for opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez to testify about a website that has posted presidential voting tallies.
Gonzalez has ignored two previous summonses this week, raising tensions around the issue. If he fails to comply with the third summons, Saab indicated that an arrest warrant could be issued.
This development comes amid heightened political discord in Venezuela, where the opposition and government frequently clash over election integrity.
