Deputy CIA Director David Cohen revealed on Wednesday that Ukrainian troops are determined to maintain the Russian territories they've seized for an extended duration, despite anticipating a challenging counteroffensive from Russia.
Speaking at an intelligence conference, Cohen emphasized that this retention of territory would come with a difficult fight.
He further noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin would have to manage the societal backlash within Russia stemming from these territorial losses.
