Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday emphasized the necessity for residents to hail Hindu Gods Ram and Krishna to live in Bharat. He stressed that patriotism is a prerequisite for national unity and survival.
Speaking at a Shri Krishna Janmashtami event in Chanderi town of Ashok Nagar district, Yadav highlighted the inclusive culture of India, pointing out that famous medieval Muslim poets Rahim and Raskhan admired Hindu deities. He underscored the importance of connecting to the soil and respecting all while maintaining that faith elsewhere would not be tolerated.
Yadav praised the collaborative efforts of Hindus and Muslims in Chanderi's Handloom Park and called for applause for workers from both communities. His speech also touched on the martyrdom of Raja Medini Rai and the historic valor of Chanderi's queens. The event concluded with a roadshow showcasing Chanderi's heritage and its renowned handloom sarees.
