India has secured its second medal in badminton at the Paris Paralympics, as 19-year-old Manisha Ramadass advanced to the women's singles SU5 semifinals set to face her compatriot Thulasimathi Murugesan.

Manisha, born with Erb's palsy affecting her right arm, dispatched Japan's Mamiko Toyoda with a 21-13, 21-16 victory in the quarterfinals. Now, Manisha will meet top seed Thulasimathi, who had overcome Portugal's Beatriz Monteiro in group A.

Other Indian shuttlers had mixed performances. Sukant Kadam will face Suhas Yathiraj in the SL4 semifinals, while Mandeep Kaur and Palak Kohli were eliminated in their respective quarterfinals. The men's singles semifinal in SL4 will be an all-Indian clash between Yathiraj and Kadam.
