The military-to-military relationship between India and the United States is strong, the Pentagon affirmed on Thursday, ahead of a pivotal meeting between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Defense Secretary Austin Lloyd.

Rajnath Singh arrived in Washington on Thursday morning for a four-day visit, aimed at bolstering the comprehensive global strategic partnership between the two nations. He is set to meet Secretary Austin at the Pentagon on Friday.

"The mil-to-mil relationships between the United States and India are robust," Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated at a news conference. "The cooperation has deepened not just from the Department of Defense perspective but also from an administration standpoint. Our close coordination and collaboration remain strong. During his visit to India, the Defense Secretary announced several key deliverables, which underscore the strength of our relationship," Sabrina Singh added.
