Vikramaditya Singh Emphasizes Quality and Transparency in Himachal Pradesh Infrastructure Projects

Vikramaditya Singh, the Public Works Minister of Himachal Pradesh, called for stringent monitoring of contractors' performance during a review meeting of PWD officers in Shimla. He directed officials to blacklist any contractors delivering substandard work.
Minister Singh emphasized the significance of maintaining high-quality standards in infrastructure development and proposed awarding more projects to contractors who meet these standards. He highlighted the department's progress, supported by a budget of Rs 2240.27 crore, with Rs 526.42 crore already utilized.
The minister also commended the completion rates under PMGSY-I and II and noted that 337 projects under NABARD are ongoing. He underlined the department's efforts to upgrade its 'WAMIS' software to enhance transparency and efficiency. Finally, Singh praised the officials' response to infrastructure challenges caused by heavy rainfall and directed prioritization of urgent road and bridge repairs.
