The Gujarat Congress' 'Nyay Yatra,' a significant foot march that commenced from Morbi town on August 9, has reached Ahmedabad, covering a distance of approximately 300 kilometers.

Senior leaders including Mukul Wasnik, general secretary and Gujarat in-charge, Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Amit Chavda, and All India Mahila Congress president Alka Lamba, participated in the march. The yatra progressed from Ahmedabad's Paldi area to the historic Sabarmati Ashram, where it concluded with a prayer meet for victims.

The march is a call for justice for the victims of four major Gujarat tragedies — the 2019 Takshashila fire in Surat, the 2022 Morbi bridge collapse, the boat tragedy in Vadodara, and the TRP game zone blaze in Rajkot in 2024. Family members of the victims accompanied the Congress leaders. The yatra is set to resume from RTO Circle and will end at Chandkheda, where a gathering will be addressed by Congress leaders.
