Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a day before his visit to conflict-ridden Ukraine, reiterated India's stance on resolving conflicts through dialogue instead of warfare. In his statement following comprehensive talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Modi confirmed India's readiness to support the restoration of peace and stability in Ukraine.

The discussions led to the elevation of India-Poland relations to a strategic partnership and the creation of a social security pact aimed at facilitating the mobility and welfare of skilled workers. Both leaders also pledged to expand cooperation in important sectors including defense, renewable energy, trade, urban infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.

Modi highlighted the importance of United Nations reforms and the challenges posed by terrorism and climate change. The two sides also expressed their intention to strengthen defense ties and support food processing collaborations. Modi invited Polish firms to join India's development initiatives and shared India's advancements in fin-tech, pharmaceuticals, and space technology.
