Engineer Rashid's Stand on Restoring Article 370 and Jammu & Kashmir Politics

Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief Sheikh Abdul Rashid, known as Engineer Rashid, announced his support for the INDIA bloc candidates in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections if they promise to restore Article 370. Recently released from jail, Rashid emphasized the need to address the Kashmir issue for India's global aspirations. He criticized PM Modi, other local leaders, and expressed his stand against the BJP.

Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief Sheikh Abdul Rashid, alias Engineer Rashid, declared on Thursday his willingness to support INDIA bloc candidates in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections if they pledge to restore Article 370 once in power.

Rashid made this announcement at a press conference in Baramulla, after being granted interim bail from jail on Wednesday. 'If the INDIA bloc assures us of restoring Article 370 upon gaining power in Delhi, I will instruct my candidates to pledge their support,' he stated.

Highlighting the broader implications, Rashid stressed that solving the Kashmir issue is vital for India's aspirations of becoming a global leader. He criticized the failed promises and actions of other political figures, including PM Modi, former CM Mehbooba Mufti, and NC leader Farooq Abdullah, particularly their roles in the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.
