Senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi initiated grassroots-level interactions with party workers on Thursday to gather feedback for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. These interactions are part of their two-day visit to the region.

Kharge and Gandhi arrived at Hotel Radisson Collection in the Rajbagh area to consult with Congress workers, including district presidents and DDC members. Congress representatives from all 10 districts of the Valley participated in the morning session.

The assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are scheduled in three phases: September 18, September 25, and October 1, with vote counting on October 4. After wrapping up their interactions in the valley, Kharge and Gandhi will travel to Jammu to meet with party workers there.
