Suella Braverman, the former UK Home Secretary, has emerged as one of the highest-paid politicians in the Parliament for her speeches worldwide.

The recently published 'Register of Members Financial Interests' for 2024-25 reveals that Braverman, 44, an Indian-origin Conservative Party MP, received a substantial payment of GBP 20,520.60 from an Indian media house for a speaking engagement earlier this year.

Aside from the Indian engagement, Braverman also earned GBP 25,452.40 from Chosun Media in South Korea for a series of speeches in Seoul. Additionally, her financial gains include a speech in London and articles for the Telegraph Media Group in the UK.

Despite being sacked as home secretary by former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Braverman was anticipated to run for the Conservative Party leadership. However, she recently declined to contest, criticizing her party members for negative labeling.

Meanwhile, the race for the Tory leadership continues, with Indian-origin Priti Patel among the contenders. The Conservative Party conference and subsequent ballots will determine the new leader by November 2, following Sunak's resignation after the July 4 electoral defeat.
