Nepal's Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba will embark on a five-day trip to India starting Sunday, with the aim of bolstering bilateral relations, officials announced.
Deuba is slated to engage in comprehensive talks with India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, on Monday, according to sources.
This visit comes shortly after Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri's recent journey to Kathmandu, signaling continued diplomatic engagement between the neighboring countries.
Scheduled from August 18 to 22, Deuba's visit underscores Nepal's significance as a neighbor to India, especially considering the shared border of over 1850 km with five Indian states and the land-locked country's dependence on India for transportation of goods and services.
