Jaishankar Commemorates Kyrgyzstan Independence Day, Strengthens Diplomatic Ties
Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar extended greetings to Kyrgyzstan on their Independence Day, expressing confidence in stronger bilateral relations. He shared a video highlighting key interactions between both nations. Historical ties have encouraged strategic partnerships in defence, security, and trade, marking 30 years of diplomatic relations in 2022.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has extended warm greetings to his Kyrgyzstan counterpart, Zheenbek Kulubaev, and the citizens of the nation on the occasion of Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day.
Expressing confidence in the continuing strength of bilateral ties, Jaishankar shared a video showcasing high-level engagements between the two countries. The video featured visuals of the special forces exercise "Khanjar" held in Bakloh in 2024 and the 12th Foreign Office Consultations in Bishkek in 2022.
In a message shared on X, Jaishankar wrote, "Best Wishes to FM Zheenbek Kulubaev and the Government and the people of the Kyrgyz Republic on their Independence Day. Confident that our multi-faceted ties will continue to strengthen."
Following Kyrgyzstan's independence on August 31, 1991, India was among the first countries to establish diplomatic relations on March 18, 1992, with a resident mission being set up on May 23, 1994. The two nations celebrated the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic ties in 2022.
Bound by historical and civilizational links, the political relations between India and Kyrgyzstan have traditionally been warm and friendly. The two countries are now strategic partners with expanding engagements in defence, security, trade, and investment.
