Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Delhi on Friday aiming to discuss pivotal state issues with Union ministers, including the critical Polavaram irrigation project.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader is set to meet Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil on Friday, sources confirmed.
Additionally, Naidu is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other high-ranking officials such as Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, sources added.
As a key ally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), TDP is seeking central government support to aid in the economic recovery and development of Andhra Pradesh.
The recent Union budget announced an allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for developing a new capital city in Andhra Pradesh.
