Congress MLA Vivek Sharma from Kutlehar assembly seat in Himachal Pradesh faced an attack on Thursday. Two bike riders assaulted his car with a rod in Hoshiarpur city while he was returning from Jalandhar, according to police.

The attackers shattered the rear windshield of Sharma's car. The incident occurred when he was en route to his native village. Despite efforts by Sharma's driver to chase them, the assailants managed to escape.

Police have filed a case and are actively searching for the culprits, Sharma informed PTI.
