Neeraj Chopra Narrowly Misses Diamond League Title
Star Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed the Diamond League crown, finishing second with a throw of 87.86m. The 26-year-old achieved his best throw in his third attempt, but was 1cm short of Anderson Peters' 87.87m effort. Julian Weber of Germany was third.

Star Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra narrowly missed the Diamond League crown by just one centimeter in the season finale held on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Chopra, who had won the Diamond League trophy in 2022, achieved his best throw of 87.86m in his third attempt but fell short by 1cm of Anderson Peters' winning throw of 87.87m.
Grenada's Peters, a two-time world champion, posted his best mark in his opening attempt, while Julian Weber of Germany claimed third place with a throw of 85.97m. Chopra, who had earlier added a silver to his Olympic tally in Paris, ended his season on a high note.
