Six Tibetan organizations have commended Sikkim's Rajya Sabha MP, D T Lepcha, for advocating that the Line of Actual Control should be termed as the India-Tibet border rather than the India-China border.

During his speech in the upper House of Parliament earlier this week, Lepcha emphasized the need for a central government directive to instruct the Army, BRO, and other agencies to adopt this terminology.

'On behalf of the entire Tibetan community in Sikkim and around the globe, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Rajya Sabha MP Dorjee Tsering Lepcha for his immense support and courageous statement,' the six Tibetan bodies said in a joint press release. The statement was signed by presidents of the Tibetan Freedom Movement, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Regional Tibetan Women Association, Domey Association, Utsang Association, and Dokham Chushi Khandruk.
