The situation escalated when the men accosted her again, resulting in a physical assault where her sacred 'mangalsutra' was taken.
Charges have been laid under multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, including sections for assault, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation, among others. Law enforcement efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects.
