Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for the exposure of elements spreading uncertainty and instability within the country. His cash-strapped government is currently facing significant pressure from the party of jailed former premier, Imran Khan.

Sharif made these remarks on Saturday during a meeting with the Parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Senate and Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, ARY News reported. Although he did not name any specific party, his comments were a clear nod to the opposition.

The prime minister stressed that both the government and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) must focus on developing an effective strategy to thwart the organized campaign against them, state, and national security institutions. Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party has aggressively opposed the government, claiming that the PML-N manipulated the people's mandate in the general elections held on February 8.

Sharif also congratulated Senator Irfan Siddiqui on his election as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, expressing hope that the committee would promote a positive, peaceful, and constructive image of Pakistan globally under Siddiqui's leadership.
