Clooney and Pitt's 'Wolfs': From Silver Screen to Streaming
Hollywood stars George Clooney and Brad Pitt express disappointment over their comedy 'Wolfs' heading primarily to Apple TV instead of a wide theatrical release. Despite this, they acknowledge streaming platforms' importance in today's film industry. The film, directed by Jon Watts, is showing at the Venice Film Festival.
Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney and Brad Pitt have expressed their disappointment that their latest comedy, 'Wolfs,' is bypassing a broad cinema release and heading almost directly to Apple TV.
'It is a bummer,' Clooney said on Sunday, noting that streaming platforms like Apple are crucial for the future of filmmaking by providing actors with opportunities and reaching larger audiences. 'Streaming, we need it, our industry needs this,' he added.
Directed by Jon Watts, 'Wolfs' features Clooney and Pitt as lone-wolf professional fixers forced to work together, resulting in comically unfortunate outcomes. While Apple initially intended to release the film in numerous cinemas, it ultimately opted for a limited U.S. theatrical run before its global TV service debut.
