On Monday, Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair recorded his statement in connection with an FIR filed by Udita Tyagi of the Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati Trust, alleging his tweet provoked an attack on Dasna Devi temple.
The FIR comprises various charges, including promoting enmity and defamation. Zubair's post allegedly included a clipping of Yati's derogatory speech towards Prophet Mohammad, originally delivered in Ghaziabad on September 29.
Although Zubair obtained a stay order against his arrest from the Allahabad High Court, he remains under investigation and must cooperate fully, including refraining from foreign travel until January 6.
