Thirty individuals were rescued off the coast of Goa during the last week of 2024, as disclosed by a spokesperson from Drishti Marine, a state-appointed lifesaving agency.

Among them were 18 missing persons, including 17 children, who were safely reunited with their families. The agency also provided first aid to 11 beachgoers amid the festive crowds.

In total, 21 rescue operations were carried out, featuring triple, double, and single rescues at several popular beaches including Palolem, Mandrem, Calangute, Candolim, and Agonda.
