Telangana's 'Rythu Bharosa' Scheme Sparks Political Controversy
The Telangana government's cabinet sub-committee has decided to extend the 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme benefits to all farmers, amid allegations from Congress of imposing conditions. The decision will be presented to the state cabinet soon, and Gram Sabhas will be conducted to receive applications.

The Telangana government is at the center of controversy as its cabinet sub-committee announced plans to extend the 'Rythu Bharosa' financial support scheme to include all farmers in the state. This decision comes amid Congress's accusations of imposing unfair conditions on the scheme's implementation.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, leading the sub-committee, confirmed that the group's recommendations will be submitted to the state cabinet in the coming days. As part of the initiative, 'Gram Sabhas' will be held to collect applications from January 5 onwards.
BJP leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy urged prompt action on the scheme, while BRS MLC K Kavitha accused the Congress government of anti-farmer policies. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reiterated the intent to uphold the party's electoral promise, ensuring the scheme launches post-Sankranti festival.
