Nepal Police Nabs Online Fraudster
Rajiv Mahanandan, an Indian national, has been arrested in Nepal for online fraud. He misused WhatsApp to cheat people by promising expensive items like gold and iPhones, collecting over Rs. 1.78 million without delivering goods. Police arrested him in Morang district following an investigation.

A 30-year-old Indian national, Rajiv Mahanandan, has been apprehended in Nepal on charges of online fraud, according to local authorities.
Mahanandan, originally from Orrisa and residing in Jhapa district's Haldibari Rural Municipality, allegedly deceived individuals by promising shipments of gold and iPhones, among other items, via WhatsApp. Victims were instructed to transfer money to his bank account upfront.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office launched an operation culminating in his arrest in Belbari Municipality, Morang district. Investigators revealed that Mahanandan managed to collect over Rs. 1.78 million through his fraudulent activities.
