Russia targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, with two waves of drone strikes overnight, marking the 15th such assault this month. City officials confirmed the attack on Friday, highlighting the resilience of Kyiv's defenses.

City military administrator Serhiy Popko reported that more than a dozen drones were intercepted during the four-hour strike, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. A fire caused by debris was quickly extinguished.

Across Ukraine, air defenses managed to destroy 36 out of the 63 drones fired. Most were intercepted over Kyiv and Odesa, while 16 drones were unaccounted for. Russia, amid its ongoing invasion since February 2022, denies civilian targeting despite frequent missile and drone attacks.
