An Israeli airstrike targeted a compound of journalists in southeast Lebanon on Friday, resulting in the death of three media workers, as reported by Lebanon's state-run National News Agency.
The attack drew severe condemnation from Lebanon's Information Minister, Ziad Makary, labeling it an 'assassination' and a 'war crime.' The compound housed 18 journalists from seven media organizations, including Al-Mayadeen and Al-Manar TV.
The incident further heightens tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border, where exchanges have been occurring since October 8, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation with over 1.2 million people displaced.
