In a troubling escalation, Russian missile strikes targeted the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, injuring 17 individuals, authorities reported on Sunday. The attack came after an overnight assault involving numerous drones.

The National Police communicated via social media that among the injured were a police officer and a rescue worker. Multiple structures, including an administrative building, hotel, and educational institution, sustained damage from the aggression.

Regional governor Serhiy Lysak provided further insights, noting damage to 15 apartment buildings, a cafe, a church, and other vital facilities. The Ukrainian military confirmed intercepting 31 out of 49 Russian drones. While 10 drones were shot down near Kyiv, the city remained unharmed, officials reassured.
