A case has been lodged against unknown vandals for allegedly damaging a statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, according to local police reports on Tuesday.
Circle Officer Mohammad Faheem Quraishi stated that the complaint was filed by Himanshu Kumar, the president of Ambedkar Seva Samiti, at the Nagra police station in Kothiyan village.
The incident occurred on October 6, when villagers discovered the damaged statue, marking yet another instance of vandalism targeting this monument. Police have registered the case and begun investigating, with efforts ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible.
