Haryana Politics: Major Shifts and Surprises
The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) faced significant setbacks in the latest Haryana assembly elections. JJP, with no seats this time, saw its vote share plummet from 15% to 0.90%, while INLD won two seats, marking a slight improvement from the previous state elections.

The Haryana assembly elections dealt a severe blow to both the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). Despite having a decisive influence in the last assembly polls, JJP failed to secure any seats this time, dropping from the 10 it won in 2019.
Prominent figures like Dushyant Chautala and Abhay Singh Chautala lost their constituencies, reflecting the shifts in the state's political landscape. The JJP's vote share dramatically decreased, and INLD's slight gain to two seats offered little consolation amid the broader decline.
The JJP's alliance with the BJP ended in March, which many see as a pivotal point in its electoral downturn. This, coupled with internal party challenges and shifting alliances, has left both JJP and INLD striving for relevance in a competitive political arena.
